Deep in the corner of Italy’s boot, over 1000 growers have come together, to bring wine lovers from around the world a true taste of Italian terroir. Cantine San Marzano, established in 1962 focuses on two Puglia mainstays – Primitivo and Negroamaro. The early one (Primitivo) is grown 100m above sea level, in shallow soils where the vines are made to work for their dinner. Deep ruby red with crimson reflections. Rich of mature fruit, cherries and plums, with notes of coffee and black pepper. A full-bodied wine whose 5 years of ageing has helped soften and balance the wine, with a pleasantly lingering aftertaste. Serve this with Italian fare, antipasti is best, and you won’t be disappointed! - Wine Central Tasting Panel
