"Utiel-Requena is a obscure wine region in Valencia on Spain’s east coast. While not too many people have heard of it, its actually the largest wine region in the area in terms of amount of land under vine. A real mixture of grapes are grown here but the most popular is the native Bobal which is produced as both red and rosé (rosados). This blend of Bobal and Tempranillo from Marques de Verdellano is produced by the Covinas group especially for the export market and we’re stoked to be able to offer it to you. Bobal and Tempranillo are two native Spanish varieties that are often found on their own but are great as a pair here. Juicy strawberries, fresh raspberries, and tart blackberries delight the palate followed by a touch of plum and spice on the finish.
