"Tempranillo and Cab Sauv, a match made in heaven and a prime example of when blending native and international grapes works a treat. Casa del Valle sourced grapes from around Spain before bringing them back to La Mancha, home to their new and improved winery, for fermentation. The wine is then aged in oak for 6 months, giving it a smooth, rounded vanilla finish which compliments the blackberry, cherry and dried plum aromas. Casa del Valle is run by a group of winemakers who have thirty years’ experience between them. They utilise traditional techniques and modern winemaking equipment to craft elegant unique wines in the Castilla-La Mancha region of Spain.

This tasty blend of Spain’s native Tempranillo and the French import Cabernet Sauvignon is a nod to their old-meets-new approach. The Tempranillo was crafted in stainless-steel tanks in order to maintain its fresh fruit character. Meanwhile, the Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in oak for three months to obtain a touch of spice and vanilla. Blended together, they make a winning combination with ripe cherry, black plum, and dark forest berries accompanying all those toasty oak flavours.
